Japanese Flower Arrangement

I attended a Japanese culture expo today. Over there I was able to get see some Japanese traditional dance, music, and flower arrangement. There is a speaker from the Ikebana (Japanese Flower Arrangement) show me about some basic Ikebana technique. She explain to me there is 4 way (basic) to create a flower arrangement. One of them is a technique which using a main stem and secondary stems. The picture that I attached on the left is the example of that principle. The main stem is the curly flowerless stem on the back and the stem with flower is act as a support element to it. By put the main stem as the highest stem, it gives an statement about it's as the main stem. The different elevation of the stem in this piece definitely give an interesting interest to watch.
